What is e-learning?

A learning system based on formalised teaching but with the help of electronic resources is known as E-learning. While teaching can be based in or out of the classrooms, the use of computers and the Internet forms the major component of E-learning.

E-learning is the act of engaging in an educational course in an online setting. E-learning courses can exist in a variety of forms, using a range of technologies. Commonly used in organizations like schools and corporations, e-learning can help learners complete education and training objectives with greater ease and flexibility than they can with traditional classroom-based learning.

Traditional learning is expensive, takes a long time and the results can vary. The importance of e-learning is now a given fact and it can offer an alternative that is much faster, cheaper and potentially better.

If you can maintain the necessary self-discipline, the benefits of eLearning are almost too numerous to count. You can cover the material when you have time, go over it as often as you need, all without traveling to the classroom. There are no parking problems or expenses, transportation fees, athletic fees, housing and food service fees, plus you can take the class from any location with internet access. There have been many studies showing that eLearning students retain the material to a significantly greater degree than face-to-face instructor led classes. The content delivery is consistent and can be easily repeated if needed to gain a better understanding.


How do I register?

For registration use "register" link on the top-left of the front page.

When you click on the link, a registration form comes up, fill in the form and click to "Create my new account" button.

Please note, you can only use your official Aga Khan email address for registration.


Or, you can use "login" link on the top-left of the front page near "register" link.

When you click on the link, login pop-up comes up.

Below the login pop-up, you will see "CREATE NEW ACCOUNT" button.

When you click on the button, a registration form comes up, fill in the form and click to "Create my new account" button.

Please note, you can only use your official Aga Khan email address for registration.


How do I enroll to a course?

When you successfully register to AKDN E-learning platform, you will be automatically enrolled to all the courses.

Where can I find my courses?

You can find your courses in your dashboard. In order to reach your dashboard just click on the [user name] link.

Select "dashboard" link from the drop-down menu.


Can I resume a course from where I left off?

Yes, you can resume your course and continue from where you left off. When you enter a course that you didn't completed, via a question sceen you can select to resume the course or start the course from the beginning.


How do I contact the IT Support Team?

You can contact to support team via the "help" button located on the bottom-left of all site pages.

You should fill in the contact form and send. Your question will be answered max. within 12 hours.
